Every golfer would like to further their golf ball hits. However, take the golf ball a long way is not everything in golf. It is easier to hit is no guarantee of lower values, but ... when the golf ball further you can make the game a whole lot easier!
Just be able to add an additional 20 yards from the tee to the difference between an 8 iron and a wedge into the green. If you use shorter irons for your approach shots, you can get closer to the pin, and your putts easier. Results:Covered should your guests!
Take a look at the tour pros. Granted, they may not all have the all-around game Tiger Woods, but they can all hit it a long way, and many of them can drive out Tiger from quite far.
Professionals are also able to drive the ball to these long distances with what appears to be relatively easily made. Ernie Els looks incredibly relaxed when he swings, but still averages around 300yards with a driver.
So, like the pros hit it so far and how they seem to do itwith so little effort?
It's really quite simple: They generate much higher club head speed and they do mainly with the use of their hands.
Here's how to do it ...
1) Relax your grip
You can not swing the club Quickly find, if it is still tightly as your muscles in the hands and arms will also be tense. To handle it "easy".
2) Add the club
Make sure you cock the wrists fully on top of the swing. This will "load"the club into a position where it can later be published in the swing. If you do not cock your wrist full of the Association only to perish swing as fast as you can swing your arms.
3) Release the club at impact
Make sure you maintain that wrist cock until as late as possible then just before the downturn in the hands of the underside of the swing, you "release" the club is to reach you un-cock the wrists. A delay in the publication as long as possible, you have enough time to accelerate thearms and then the extra acceleration during the release generates a huge speed increase in the club head. More club head speed equals more distance.
Test yourself with this drill:
Take short swings (with a 7 iron) concentrating on maximum wrist cock and maximum release with minimum arm movement. You will be surprised how far the ball goes just with the use of the hands and not much else. Now add this movement to the full swing and see how far the ball flies!
So, Relaxation, stress and release ... and watch the ball fly!
