Most of my hikes and walks will take place in the United Kingdom. Places like the Lake District, Scotland and Snowdonia on foot are my favorite places. These places are great. However, there is a known problem when you go walking in the UK. The problem is bad weather (ie rain). The weather produced swampy areas and these areas can you feet wet.
There is absolutely nothing worse than wet feet. Wet feet can lead to cold feet and possible infections, such as "trench foot"when walking in the United Kingdom.
So here are the actions you can take during previous to walk and the United Kingdom.
1st First, make sure you are wearing good quality, high hiking boots sitting on the ankle. You should never go with the coaches. Your walking shoes should have a sewn-in tongue to keep out the water and to prevent the feet getting wet.
2nd Wear waterproof boots. These are great and keep the wet out of your boots and feet (especially on foot UK).Waterproof Boots from your hiking boot fit to just below the knee, so that the lower half of your leg to protect the damp and wet. This in turn will prevent your feet getting wet.
3rd Carry spare socks. If your socks get wet when hiking you will want to change. If this is your camp you can wet your socks in a jacket dry while you are setting up camp and cooking dinner. This will prevent your feet wet on the following day
4th In the camp, make sure your shoes are not left outbut are stored in a dry place. Take a pair of sneakers to wear around camp. So if you get the walking shoes wet, they can be dried for your walk. One way to dry wet boots is to help paper in the boots pull out the wet and therefore keep your feet dry for the morning and thus avoid to make your feet wet.
There follow these steps to avoid wet feet, and a walk. Above all, have a long walk in the UK.
